New Stuff!
Hello everyone!

Today marks a new day for my shop - my mother will now be adding to my Etsy shop!
She makes some lovely hand-knit slippers and I just added the very first pair to my shop for you all to look at (and buy!).
Here they are:
http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=15525341

They are lovely, high-quality, durable, soft, comfortable and WARM slippers! Keep your tootsies nice and toasty :)

If you like these but might like them in a different size or color, let me know so I can pass the word on to my mom, she will be happy to knit you a pair!

In other news, pads have been selling like hotcakes lately!

* I just got my little sister hooked on pads, too! She was verrrrry skeptical about trying them for her "whole" period, but she told me a couple days ago that she absolutely LOVES them! - That's coming from a person who used ONLY tampons.

If you're interested, I suggest checking my shop!

I don't get the whole cloth pads thing.. What's so good about them? Don't they stain and/or leak? Or am I not understanding how they are used properly?

They are absolutely fantastic!!
Yes, they can stain - but if you care for them properly you can definitely avoid that! As for the leaking - I've only ever ONCE bled through, and when I say "bled through" I mean, like a drop, haha (and I've been using them for over a year now).
They are way more comfortable (feels just like undies), there are no chemicals so there's nothing to "draw out" the blood like store-bought pads, you can get them in all sorts of fun patterns, AND you won't contribute to the landfill :)

I know, I know, I totally go off on a spiel every time someone asks about cloth pads - but I am actually that excited about them :)
And I would totally send you a couple (of my little "off" ones) for free if you want to try them :)

I couldn't ask for anything for free, but I am intrigued.. Slightly disgusted, period talk always has that affect on me, but intrigued nonetheless. I use regular pads most of the time anyway (I have a tilted uterus and it makes tampons pretty uncomfortable and leaky), and I've always hated contributing to the landfill, but never thought anything cloth would suffice.. Mayhap I shall have to try these little magical things you speak of!

Well, you could always buy one and I could toss an extra or two in :) The larges/overnights seem to be most popular as are the liners (probably because of the "deal" I've got lately).
I've had a couple people who seemed really disgusted with trying cloth but once they did they never looked back :)
